TCF French Knowledge Test

A test of the CIEP of Sèvres (a public establishment of the National Education Ministry).
The TCF is a test to determine the candidate’s level of French (general language) for a target group who do not speak French as a mother tongue, wishing to have validation of their knowledge of French.

Compulsory tests: 80 items - 1h30
oral understanding 30 items - 25 mn
grammar - vocabulary 20 items - 20 minutes
written understanding 30 items - 45 minutes

Optional tests: 2 h00
oral expression 15 minutes
written expression 1 h 45

DELF
The DELF is organized by the French Ministry of Education and is henceforth in accordance with the common European reference from the ‘Cadre européen commun de référence pour les langues du conseil de l’Europe’.

DELF A1 - A2 - B1 :
This diploma certifies that the holder has basic competency in French and is able to communicate in normal everyday life situations.

General expression
Expressing basic ideas and feelings
Understanding written and oral material
Understanding the structure and mechanism of the French language

DELF B2 :
Holders of this diploma have a general knowledge of French civilisation; they are able to analyse a text and give a rendering of it both orally and in writing :

French and French-speaking civilisation (written)
Specialised expression (oral)

DFA1
DFA1 BUSINESS FRENCH DIPLOMA, FIRST DEGREE
An examination of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris.
This diploma is designed for a target group with a level somewhere between advanced intermediate and advanced in business French.

TEF

The French Language Evaluation Test (TEF).
This test, which has been created and developped by the Chamber of Commerce of Paris, will allow you to test your comprehension and expression skills with a general French language.
Recognized all over the world, it would be useful to you if you aim to apply to a job, to persue studies in higher education or to make your international mobility plan a reality.
